New Home presentation - 28th July 2014

We had our NHP on 28th. All went well.

We are pretty impressed with the build quality, finishing and their speed. Even though there were few issues, most have been sorted out.

Our telephone,data points which were misplaced in the home theater room is to remain there and SS said he will get these points additionally added in to the living room as per our demand.

Also, the double GPO next to the island bench was placed bit far and hence SS said he will get another double GPO close to the bench now.

And since Vogue 17's MW positioning in pantry is an epic failure, we were ready to place the MW on the bench top. But SS was of the opinion that its pretty bad to keep the MW there and hence he promised us to talk to the shelving company and get it fixed in the pantry itself.

The following items were agreed to be fixed on the completion checklist.

1. Various paint touch ups
2. Data, Telephone + GPO to living at 200mm
3. GPO in pantry to shift to suit for MW
4. Adjust pantry shelving to allow for MW
5. Fill hole under bench top
6. Roof Service
7. Caulking around windows.

Carpet Change (Cat2) - [WEEK 15]

Our carpets laid were the wrong ones ! and they were getting replaced when we did a visit today.
Carpet guy was kind enough to let us in. So some pics during the visit as well !!

And today, 23rd Jul 2014 marks the completion of 15 weeks since our Site Start.

So far so good and we are really pleased with the way overall work..

But, driveway and path around house is yet to be done and we have our New Home Presentation on FRI(25th Jul) Morning 10 am.

SS still hasn't fixed the electrical/telephone/data points issues which we have raised. Also the NBN box isn't installed outside the house yet.

Final Clean is scheduled for 24th Jul - THU, as per the SS. More updates on FRI then !!

Changes which we saw after the last weekend are:

• Temporary fencing removed
• Carpets getting replaced with Cat 2 (Twist Rock 26)
• Paint touch up areas marked out. 

Flooring Done [Week 14]

Works done during the past week are:

• Laminate flooring (LOVVING IT)
• Carpets (Done WRONG here. They laid Cat 1 instead of Cat 2)
• Fly screens
• Blinds
• Garage Door
• Bathroom Mirror
• Tissue Holder
• Towel Rails
• Glass Shelf in Bath

Electrical & Other Fit Offs Done [WEEK 13]

• All electrical fit offs completed
• Heating Ducts installed
• Wardrobes & Pantry done.
• Plumbing fit offs completed including Shower Screen
• Tile grates done.

TILING IN Progress [WEEK 12]

These are updates from 28th of June and from 3rd of Jul, when we had a walk through with our SS. So, the pics are from these dates and the works done during this period are:

• Installed Stone bench top in kitchen
• Tiles are being laid in Bath, Ensuite & Laundry.

Heating, plumbing and electrical fit offs are starting next week. Also, the concrete path around the house, drive way and flooring to follow. As per the SS, we should be having a home presentation by end of July and we should be home by Aug 1st-2nd week !! EXCITED !!

Painted [WEEK 11] ...

This week we had whole of our house painted. The bricks have been cleaned as well.
